MONTHLY LOCAL RIVERS REPORT

Check out the hatch chart to see what they're biting on now.

October 22, 2009

Squanacook River
Went fishing on the Squanacook today and saw hundreds of fish rising including rainbows in the 14" class and 10"+ browns. I fished the Bertozzi section and ended up landing 3 beautiful fish. The river is still absolutely loaded with fish. Find a nice day are get out on the river.

Squanacook River
The Squanacook is fishing very well. It's loaded with fish, both rainbows and browns, and reports of an occassional brookie. Because of the continual rains, the water has remained refreshed and cool. Don't overlook the quality fishing that still exists on the river. Fish early morning or from 6 pm until dark for best results.

Get out there and catch some fish!

Nissitissit River
The Nissitissit is warming considerably. The fish are holding in the deeper pools and the trout are there for the taking. Like the Squanacook, fish early morning or from 6 pm until dark for best results.

Swift River
The Swift River in Belchertown is running high as water spills over the spillway, but it is loaded with fish. Recent clients Gary C., Vern G., and Dave have had banner days during the first two weeks of August.
